Jayson Tatum led the Boston Celtics to a much-needed win against the Minnesota Timberwolves to snap their three-game losing streak.
The Boston Celtics, led by Jayson Tatum, got out to a fast start this season and immediately established themselves as the front-runner to win the NBA championship. However, in recent times they have been experiencing a decline.
Their most recent victory, which came against the Minnesota Timberwolves, put an end to their three-game losing run; prior to that, they had dropped five of their previous six games. For the Celtics, a victory over the Wolves was absolutely necessary, and Jayson Tatum was well aware of the significance of the game.
The Celtics won the game 121-109 and Tatum led them from the front. He scored 30 points while Jaylen Brown also got hot and ended up with 36 points. For the TWolves, Anthony Edwards scored 30 points.
After the win, Tatum said, “We needed a win. We hadn’t been playing great. For everybody to contribute and for us to finally get back in the win column, everybody feels a little better about themselves after tonight, and hopefully, it continues.”
The Boston Celtics will now be up against the Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas Day and it could potentially be the preview of a fantastic playoff series this season. The Bucks and the Celtics are the two teams that have the best record in the Eastern Conference.
