Ben Simmons made his debut for the Brooklyn Nets earlier in the preseason. Simmons, who was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Brooklyn Nets, didn’t play a single minute last season due to injuries and issues with the 76ers.

Following a long absence from the court, Simmons returned in the preseason and hasn’t looked like his usual self so far. However, head coach Steve Nash isn’t concerned about that and believes that Ben Simmons will be back in form in some time, as he needs some minutes under his belt to get back to his bets.

Talking about Simmons, Steve Nash said, “We’ll be patient with Ben because he is an incredibly talented and unique player, but he’s not going to be at his best in the short term and he’s just got to continue to slog through this period of returning to play and getting his confidence, timing and rhythm back,”

He added, “I think for Ben a lot of it is not just the understanding, it’s the reps,. He hasn’t played for a long time. He’s coming off of back surgery, so I think there’s some periods of indecision and confidence that he has to gain from playing. All of us do. We can’t take that much time off, join a new group and just figure it out Day 1, so he needs time.”

Hopefully, Simmons will be back to his usual all-star form once the regular season starts as the Nets need him at his best. The Brooklyn Nets will open their season against the New Orleans Pelicans which promises to be a great game.

Ben Simmons is currently prepared to participate in games but is waiting for the new season to begin. He has his mind made up and is determined to disprove the assumptions of those who have consistently cast doubt on him over the course of the past year. We can only hope that he will be healthy enough to participate in this year’s all-star game.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will look to guide the Brooklyn Nets to victory this season as they try to reach the promised land. Since the beginning of the offseason, the Nets have made some high-caliber additions to their roster, and as a consequence, they now have an excellent opportunity to win the championship.

Simmons a few weeks ago spoke about the Nets’ chances this season and said, “I think just like the talent that we have and the type of players that we have we’re going to be able to run the floor easily.” ou know, we got Clax, who can run, he moves incredibly, well um… Kev, Patty, Kai, Joe, um just got Royce another great D guy um I’m missing people but yeah I think this team right now is just a great fit for what I do and what I bring to the game.”

Ben Simmons, for his part, is eager to show all of his naysayers that they were wrong about him and would welcome the opportunity to re-enter the discussion for Defensive Player of the Year. Despite missing the entirety of the previous campaign, the former star player for the 76ers will be hoping to make an immediate impact for his new squad.
