As Kevin Durant clarify his comments, what exactly did he say about the Yankees and Aaron Judge that generated such a stir among them?

After being questioned about the New York Yankees signing their new star man to a $360 million, nine-year contract, Brooklyn Nets player Kevin Durant said he truly doesn’t care about Aaron Judge but has now pulled back that statement. Durant also talked about Kobe Bryant and how he influences him in his playing.

The 34-year-old forward spoke to a YES Network reporter following the Nets’ 116-122 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night. He said as follows: “I’m a Nationals fan. I really don’t care about Aaron Judge at all.”

After watching the video of the debate on social media, Kevin Durant, who grew up in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C., region, recognised that his response and views about Aaron Judge had been a little chilly and later corrected it on Twitter by saying, “Damn this came out colder than I intended…it’s all jokes…welcome back to the city 99…,”

Many New Yorkers criticised the two-time NBA champion on Twitter for not being more optimistic or responsive to another famous athlete competing and now Kevin Durant has taken up his stand against Aaron Judge. With a record of 55-107, the Nationals were the poorest club in all of Major League Baseball last year. It makes sense now why Durant is frustrated.

According to multiple sources, Judge, who set an American League record with 62 home runs last season, would get $40 million annually, the highest average yearly salary for a position player.

Before the 2017 season began, the Yankees extended a long-term contract to Judge that was valued at $213.5 million spanning seven years from 2023 to 2029. However, the outfielder declined it just before April’s opening day.
