One of the most hilarious instances of such a crossover happening can be cited back to the time when R&B mogul Usher collaborated with the Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant’s father. It was back in 2022 when the Memphis Grizzlies were playing against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Play-offs, that Tee Morant – in attendance to support his son – met the music superstar.
As it turned out – to the surprise of plenty of the basketball and the entertainment fandom as well as to the anticipation of a few – the pair eerily looked a lot like each other! So when Usher and Tee Morant hung out at courtside, it broke the NBA community on Twitter – especially considering the fact that the pair “twinned” while wearing well-synchronized all-black outfits.
While their fans had a gala time watching the pair enjoy a number of fun moments ringside, the game did not disappoint either – as while Anthony Edwards of the Timberwolves thought he had tied the game with a three-pointer, Ja Morant turned on the heat as he scored with a lay-up on Jarred Vanderbilt to help the Grizzlies secure a 111-109 victory in Game 5 of the Play-off series.

Tee Morant played basketball in high school and college, and his love of the game was passed down to his son. The 48 year old is known to be a supportive father who has been instrumental in his son’s success. As of today, Tee currently resides in South Carolina and continues to support his son’s career.
Tee is often seen courtside at Ja Morant’s games, cheering him on and offering support. Tee has also been known to give his son advice and guidance on his career.
