Who are the famous Ball brothers in the NBA?
The NBA have come across a number of talented families when it comes to producing some of the best basketball talents that the world has to offer. While there are a number of family members playing in the NBA such as the Curry brothers and the Antetokounmpo brothers, one of the most famous families is none other than the Ball family.
The Ball Family, better known as Lonzo Ball’s family is one of the most popular NBA families of our generation. It consists of Chicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball, his daughter Zoey Ball, his parents LaVar and Tina Ball, and his brothers LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball, a point guard for the Charlotte Hornets. They even have their own reality television show “Ball In The Family.”
While the oldest son Lonzo currently plays as a point guard for the Chicago Bulls, he previously played for the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans. Lonzo was one of the most highly recruited players coming out of high school, and while he did have a mediocre stint with the Lakers, he would earn the league’s respect with a much improved stint at New Orleans.
On the other hand, LaMelo Ball is the youngest of the three – who plays as a point guard for Charlotte Hornets. LaMelo is a gifted scorer and playmaker on the court, and was lauded by his father for being the most talented out of all the Ball brothers. LaMelo continues to be highly rated as his exploits for the Hornets earned him a Rookie of the Year award in 2021.

Apart from the Ball brothers, there are quite a few more notable families in the NBA which we will mention as follows.
While there are the Morris brothers in Marcus and Markieff, Luke, Tyler and Cody Zeller as well as Jon, Brent and Drew Barry come to mind. JR Smith and Chris Smith are also some of the more known set of brothers in the NBA, while Steph and Seth – sons of Dell Curry are also one of the reputed families in the NBA alongside Giannis, Kostas and Thanasis Antetokounmpo.
