The NBA have come across a number of talented families when it comes to producing some of the best basketball talents that the world has to offer. While there are a number of family members playing in the NBA such as the Curry brothers, the Ball brothers and the Antetokounmpo brothers, one of the most famous families is none other than the Lopez brothers.
Robin and Brook Lopez are twin brothers currently playing in the NBA. While Robin is a center who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brook is also a center turning out for the Milwaukee Bucks. Graduating from Stanford, the twins were drafted into the NBA in the 2008 NBA Draft – while Robin was drafted by the Phoenix Suns, Brook was drafted by the New Jersey Nets. Since being drafted, the Lopez brothers have enjoyed a fair amount of success.
While Robin has played for teams such as the Suns, New Orleans Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brook has played for the Brooklyn Nets, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Bucks.
While Robin is an All-American, Brook is a former NBA champion as he won the title in 2021 – a year after Robin left the Bucks.
The brothers’ careers collided for a year at the Bucks – who are no strangers to brothers playing together, as they have also hosted the Antetokounmpo brothers.
