Durant was born in Washington, D.C. to his mother Wanda Durant, and father, Wayne Pratt.

Although KD was born in Washington D.C., KD grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland, on the eastern outskirts of Washington.

It was a long ten years for Kevin Durant and his father to get back on good terms, but they eventually got into each other’s good graces again.
Wayne Pratt became an integral part of KD’s life and helped him through his way in college and the early part of the NBA.
