Riot has revealed the next agent for its 5v5 tactical shooter game. Here is everything you need to know about Chamber, a new sentinel agent in Valorant.
Chamber, a sentinel agent, is the next playable agent for Valorant, according to Riot. Chamber has also received a new cinematic trailer, as well as details regarding his skills. Chamber’s talents as a sentinel character enable him to secure a zone for his allies, allowing him to slow down targets long enough to deliver damage with his heavy pistol and sniper rifle. A strong offence can sometimes be the best defence. The official riot blog post describes him as follows:
“well dressed and well armed, French weapons designer Chamber expels aggressors with deadly precision. He leverages his custom arsenal to hold the line and pick off enemies from afar, with a contingency built for every plan.”
In terms of gameplay, Chamber is similar to his German counterpart, Killjoy. He’s ideal for gamers who favour strategy over physical force, as he can snipe opponents from afar after trapping them with his comprehensive weapon set. Chamber has one of the most interesting ability sets in Valorant since he possesses two unique weapons capable of holding an area by himself. Since the player can choose between his unique weapons, the Frenchman won’t have to risk his life in the early rounds to get a decent gun. Here is a complete breakdown of his abilities.
Place two teleport anchors. While on the ground and in range of an anchor, reactivate to quickly teleport to the other anchor. Anchors can be picked up to be redeployed.
Activate to equip a heavy pistol. Alt fire with the pistol equipped to aim down sights.
Place a trap that scans for enemies. When a visible enemy comes in range, the trap counts down and then destabilizes the terrain around them, creating a lingering field that slows players caught inside of it.
Activate to summon a powerful, custom sniper rifle that will kill an enemy with any direct hit. Killing an enemy creates a lingering field that slows players caught inside of it.
On November 16, Chamber will join Valorant’s roster. Patch 3.10, which is set to be released on November 16, will include him. This is a little later than Episode 3, Act 3, which will be released on November 2. This is due to a brief pause when Riot irons out the creases in Chamber’s elegant suit.
We are excited about this sentinel as this will add a much needed change in the current meta. Valorant was in a dire need of a new Sentinel agent. We only had 2 viable options to lock down a site with Cypher and Killjoy. With the Chamber in the Valorant meta, we will also be able to see a change in Valorant’s Operator meta.
