New Riot Games Offices Open in Asia With Expanded Efforts for Publishing

With the E-sports industry on the rise, it comes as no surprise that developers of video games are working on creating the best game features and improving the publishing of their business.

Not only is the E-sports industry expanding, but a “sub-genre” of this gaming culture, known as E-sports betting, is also on the rise.

After all, E-sports as a culture is now a big deal, and some professional E-sports gamers now make a living off it. 

The remainder of our text will focus on Riot Games in E-sports gaming and their new announcement for reorganizing their business in the APAC (Asia Pacific) region.

Namely, the publisher and developer of Riot Games are now opening new offices in Asia (Japan) and India with a plan to open offices in Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines as well.

Alex Kraynov, the former Managing Director of Riot Games and Emerging Markets, is now the Managing Director of Asia Pacific.

As the publisher of Riot Games has stated, the expansion of new Riot Games’ offices in Asia will affect everything from their games, E-sports, and entertainment to the enterprise of their divisions. 

This type of expansion was fueled by the rapid growth of the Asian market, especially when it comes to the remote/mobile sector.

We all know Riot Games have a great variety of titles in E-sports, such as VALORANT and League of Legends. Riot Games also operates a handful of tournaments and E-sports leagues. 

Alex Kraynov, the newly appointed Managing Director of APAC, has reported that this step they’re taking for opening new offices in Asia was logical and natural. They plan to promote and publish their business in Asia.

APAC has a great number of gaming communities, and they undoubtedly have a great appetite for Riot Games’ developments.    

The new office centers will focus on creating E-sports content, and Alex Kraynov has already hired a couple of people to work on the Riot Games’ expansion in the APAC.

Shinji Komiyama will be working as the Director of Country Management, and Jennifer Poulson holds the Head of Publishing Partnerships position in the APAC.
