A new trailer has been revealed for Stellar Blade. The game was previously known as Project EVE. Learn about the game and its new trailer below.
In Stellar Blade, the player is limited to a few destinations on the “world map” (a map of Manhattan). The game’s gameplay revolves around action role-playing and survival horror. Players have the chance to encounter enemies on the same screen that they move Aya around on, without using a battle mode. Whenever the player walks over a “hot spot”, a random encounter occurs.
Aya, the player character, can move around to dodge enemy attacks while waiting for her turn. The game uses a pausable real-time combat system with an Active Time Bar that allows the player to determine the amount of time before taking their next action. In each turn, the player has the option of attacking with their weapon by pressing the attack button. More options are: defending themselves, helping others, attacking with Parasite Energy, using items, changing weapons or armor, or escaping.
It is possible to use Parasite Energy during battle, but the more players use it, the slower its refill becomes. When the player chooses to attack, the battle is briefly paused and a dome/sphere symbolizing the weapon’s range appears, allowing the player to target an enemy within range.
New Stellar Blade Trailer
A combination of “Stellar,” meaning stars in Latin, and “Blade,” meaning Eve’s existence, creates the title. Adam, a survivor, crosses paths with Eve as she and her comrades land on the surface to reclaim the extinct Earth. Then Adam takes Eve to Xion, the last surviving city, where she meets Orcal, the elder, and learns many stories.
Eve develops close relationships with the people in Xion and helps rebuild the city as part of her mission to save Earth. While Eve is on a mission to save Earth from the NA:tive, she is also faced with helping out the citizens of Xion. The player’s decision as to whether to help the survivors or not is entirely up to him/her.
Using combos and unique skills, you’ll be able to deflect and evade the NA:tives’ attacks with Stellar Blade’s action combat. You’ll be armed with unique Beta Skills and powerful Burst Skills throughout the game. In contrast to the common NA:tives, bosses have a totally different level of strength, which makes combat challenging and strategic.
