The New York Yankees are synonymous with the MLB and here is their 2021 schedule
Founded in 1901 as the Baltimore Orioles (not related to the modern day Baltimore Orioles), New York Yankees are considered to be the most successful team in MLB. The team plies its trade in the East Division of the American League.
In 1903, they were renamed from Baltimore Orioles to New York Highlanders. And then, 10 years later they came to be known as the New York Yankees.
The team based out of ‘The Bronx’ have won a whopping 27 World Series Titles, since winning their first title in 1923, almost 22 years after their founding.
However, of late, they become a bit rusty, with their last win coming in the year 2009, 12 years ago.
Besides this, they have 19 East Division titles, with the most recent one in 2019.
To top it all, the Yankees have the highest win-loss record in the history of MLB. They have won 10529 matches and lost just 8020, with a win-loss percentage of 56.8.
The club is owned by Yankee Global Enterprises and managed by Aaron Boone.
