The popular game, Metal Gear Solid, made its debut back in 1998 and was created by Hideo Kojima
The rumors of a remake started to do the rounds after a well-known industry insider and leaker, AccountNGT replied to one of his followers on Twitter about whether a Metal Gear Solid remake was on the cards. The answer was only a “yes” and no further details were revealed.
No information was given regarding who was making it, who was arranging the funds, or the tentative release date. There was also no update on whether Hideo Kojima was involved in the potential remake.
Cody Rhodes has been a fan of Metal Gear Solid. During Ring of Honor’s Final Battle pay-per-view in 2018, the American Nightmare and his wife Brandi Rhodes walked down to the ring in some familiar-looking video game attire.
The former Executive Vice President of AEW came out as Venom Snake from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. He sported camo pants, an eye patch, a headband, and the red robotic hand. Brandi was wearing The Boss’ white jumpsuit from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
Cody recently tweeted:
“Serious question… Are they remaking MGS?”
Cody Rhodes returned to WWE after six years at WrestleMania 38 and beat the four-time world champion, Seth Rollins.
Rhodes once again defeated Rollins at WrestleMania Backlash. On last week’s episode of Raw, the former AEW star said he respects Rollins but now he wants to move on from that feud and aim to win a title.
Rhodes faced Theory for the latter’s United States Championship but the Visionary once again appeared and assaulted the 36-year-old before the match ended.
This rivalry seems far from over as the two veterans will once again face each other soon. Both their pay-per-view matches have been exemplary and the third installment will surely be another spectacle for the WWE Universe.
