Renowned actor Julian Sands, known for his memorable performances in movies like A Room With a View and Warlock, has been reported missing after embarking on a hiking trip in California’s San Gabriel Mountains. The news was confirmed by Nate Campos, spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Sands, a 65-year-old resident of North Hollywood, was reported missing on Friday evening in the Baldy Bowl area of Mount Baldy. Authorities promptly launched a search operation, but unfortunately, it had to be halted on Saturday evening due to hazardous conditions caused by avalanche risks and treacherous trails covered in snow and ice.
Efforts to locate Julian Sands, the missing actor, have persisted using helicopters and drones when weather conditions allow. Ground crews are prepared to resume their search as soon as it is safe to do so. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with the Forest Service, is actively working to locate Sands. However, authorities advise individuals to refrain from entering the area due to the perilous hiking conditions.
