One of Marvel’s most anticipated films Deadpool will be getting a “Big Swing” as confirmed by Marvel Studios Kevin Feige
Deadpool 3 is one of the most anticipated movies for all Marvel fanatics. Directed by Shawn Levy and acted by our very own Ryan Reynolds has already taken a good place in our hearts.
However, Marvel Fans were disappointed as no information about it was revealed at Comic-Con. It has been speculated that it will be placed in one of those several empty spots in Phase 6 between the Fantastic Four and the two Avengers films.
During a recent Interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Feige revealed that like all of their third films Deadpool 3 will be taking a ‘Big Swing’.
“How do we elevate it in the way we’ve been able to with Civil War, Infinity War and Ragnarok? It’s very fun to be in the world of the Ryan Reynolds show.
Ryan Reynolds who plays the role of Deadpool also had his say on the movies. He mentioned how the first two movies didn’t have that kind of budget but that make him the value of the character.
“I had a crash course in the value of marketing and storytelling in this context through Deadpool. Deadpool taught me that necessity is the mother of invention. Deadpool, the franchise, never had the kind of budgets and finances to work with that some of the larger comic book properties did. Two of the greatest adversaries to creativity are too much time and too much money. I learned the value of character over spectacle through Deadpool.”
Deadpool 3 writers talk about the support they got from Marvel Studios
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have been working on the script for a long time. They recently talked about the support and creative freedom they received from Marvel and Disney as well.
“Don’t worry about that, they’ve been very supportive with regard to that. Now when it comes to a particular joke, if we cross a line, maybe we’ll hear at some point, ‘Maybe not that joke.’ But I think they’ve been incredibly supportive of what we’re doing, because obviously, we were doing it separate from them for a long time, and I think they’ve seen the success and they’ve had their own even greater success. So hopefully it’ll be a marriage made in heaven. But we’ve definitely got their support, and that’s a great thing to feel.”
It has been said that the story of Deadpool 3 will be a “fish-out-of-water story. He mentioned how Deadpool is a lunatic at the centre of the movie and to drop a lunatic into a very sane world is going to be fun.
