Golden Globe and Oscar-winning actor and comedian Mo’Nique is coming with a new standup special on Netflix 

Three Years after suing Netflix Golden Globe and Oscar-winning actor Mo’Nique is coming with a new stand-up special. She took to Netflix’s original Twitter handle and announced on Tuesday, “Can y’all believe this shit? I done came on home to Netflix.”

Mo’Nique was quite excited to share her first Netflix comedy special and also her reunite with director Mr Lee Danierls on the Netflix film “The Deliverance.”

“I’m so excited to share that I’ll be shooting my first Netflix comedy special,” “Oh, and in case you didn’t hear, I’m also reuniting with my friend, my brother, director Mr Lee Daniels on the Netflix film ‘The Deliverance.’ You won’t want to miss either of them, so y’all stay tuned. And thank y’all, my sweet babies. I love us for real.”

Mo’Nique filed a complaint against Netflix over a standup special in 2018

Last Month Mo’Nique whose legal name is Monique Hicks reported settled a race and sex discrimination suit against Netflix. She filed a complaint against the streaming giant over an opening offer of $500,000 for a standup special in 2018. 

Mo’Nique is also doing a Netflix movie named “The Deliverance” (Variety)

According to Mo’Nique, she was offered only $500,000 for a special, while Amy Schumer was offered $11 million and Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock were both offered $20 million.

After the complaint, she wrote a post on Instagram at that time,

“I had a choice to make,” Mo’Nique said in an Instagram post at the time. “I could accept what I felt was pay discrimination or I could stand up for those who came before me and those who will come after me. I chose to stand up.”

Mo’Nique will star in “The Deliverance” alongside Andra Day, Glenn Close, Aunjanue Ellis, Caleb McLaughlin, Tasha Smith, Omar Epps, Demi Singleton, and Miss Lawrence and Anthony B. Jenkins.
