Popular Singer Ricky Martin refuses all the nephew’s incest allegations against him
Earlier this month a complaint was made against Ricky Martin over accusations of having relations with his nephew. This incest allegation could make him face 50 years in prison for domestic violence charges filed by his nephew.
This complaint was reportedly filed anonymously under Puerto Rico’s Domestic Abuse Prevention and Intervention Act. He tweeted that the allegations were ‘completely false and fabricated. The singer’s attorney Marty Singer has also refused all these allegations against him.
He told Deadline in a recent interview,
“Unfortunately, the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges. Ricky Martin has, of course, never been — and would never be– involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew.” He added, “The idea is not only untrue, but it is also disgusting… We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs. But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts.”
The legal proceedings of this case are set to be held on July 21 in Puerto Rico and if Ricky gets charged with domestic abuse he might face up to 50 years sentence.
There were several new reports made by Ricky Martin’s brother Eric Martin. He spoke out against the allegations his brother made be their nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez. Eric defended his brother in a Facebook Live chat before the allegations were ever made public.
It was alleged that Ricky had a seven-month sexual and romantic relationship with Dennis who later filed a domestic abuse case against him.
According to several reports, the two had a volatile breakup as Ricky was allegedly harassing him.
Ricky has been married to Jwan Yosef since 2017. The couple is parents to four children. Martin became the father to twin boys Matteo and Valentino, through a gestational surrogate in August 2008.
