Tony Bennett and Susan Benedetto tied the knot in 2007 after being together for over 20 years. They first met in the late 1980s, and their decades-long romance led to an intimate ceremony. Following the wedding, Susan legally adopted the surname Benedetto. She became Tony’s primary caregiver when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2016, all while continuing her arts education charity work.
Susan’s love for Tony’s music began before they met when her parents attended one of his shows while she was still in the womb. She later became the president of Tony’s fan club and met him backstage at 19, which marked the beginning of their relationship.
In 1999, they founded Exploring the Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting arts education. Working with her husband on this endeavor was a dream come true for Susan, as they transformed the lives of young people through the power of the arts.
