The popular YouTuber known as iShowSpeed has recently faced health challenges while in Japan, sparking concerns among his fans. On July 28th, 2023, he uploaded a distressing video titled “i might die bye” to his YouTube channel, where he shared his struggle with a severe headache.
In the video, a visibly distressed iShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren, opened up about experiencing a pounding sensation in his head, describing it as a cluster headache—a condition known for its intense and debilitating pain. He revealed that he couldn’t even open his eyes and was unable to sleep or eat due to the severity of the headache.
After sharing his distressing experience on his YouTube channel, Darren wisely decided to seek medical attention. Local doctors in Japan examined him and thankfully assured the streamer that his health was not in immediate danger. Darren’s father, Darren Sr., also took to social media to reassure fans that his son was doing well.
However, the situation took a turn for the worse as the YouTuber was rushed into surgery on July 30th, 2023, due to significant swelling in his right eye. The medical team diagnosed him with a severe sinus infection, which was causing the distressing symptoms he had been experiencing.
Darren’s close friend and cameraman, Slipper, provided updates on his condition. He disclosed that the Ohio native was lucky that the infection had not spread to the back of his eye, as it could have caused more serious complications. The doctors prescribed medications and advised rest for Darren’s recovery.
Unfortunately, the challenges did not end there, as iShowSpeed announced on July 31st, 2023, that he had been hospitalized once again. Slipper, however, remained optimistic about his friend’s recovery, stating that with the prescribed medications and rest, Darren would be fine.
iShowSpeed was seen leaving the hospital in a photo posted by Slipper, showing that his recovery was going well.
