Third seed Jack Draper takes on Tseng Chun-hsin in a crucial round-robin match at the Next Gen ATP Finals on Wednesday.
The world No. 41 suffered a shock defeat against Dominic Stephan Stricker in the first group-stage encounter. The Swiss youngster got the better of Draper in a closely-contested affair. Draper went down 3-4 (5-7), 3-4 (5-7), 3-4 (5-7).
The British youngster has the ability to bounce back from this loss. He has had an impressive season thus far. Draper started the year as No. 265 in the rankings and is now at No. 41. The southpaw will look to use his potent serves to good effect. Even in the loss against Dominic, Draper hit 10 aces and had a win percentage of 82 on the first serve.
The Taiwanese player had a rough start to his Next Gen ATP Finals campaign. He faced the pre-tournament favorite Lorenzo Musetti in the first group-stage encounter. The Italian youngster managed to get the better of Tseng Chun-hsin in straight sets 4-2, 4-2, 4-2.
The 21-year-old is the second Asian player to compete in the tournament after 2017 champion Hyeon Chung. He has won two ATP Challenger Tour titles this season and will look to end the season on a high with a good performance at the 21-and-under event.
The head-to-head scoreline currently stands at 0-0 as the two players have never crossed paths as yet.
Prediction: Jack Draper to win in straight sets.
