The Philadelphia Eagles lost their first game of the season as the Washington Commanders got the better of them and broke their unbeaten streak.

Jalen Hurts- Philadelphia Eagles

Last week, the Philadelphia Eagles lost the first game of their season as the Washington Commanders shocked them. They are currently 8-1 and still have the best record in the entire NFL. Quarterback Jalen Hurts’ MVP stock also took a hit after this loss and Patrick Mahomes became a big favorite to win the award this season.

Many people believe that the Eagles arent as good as their record shows and don’t think they can win a Super Bowl this season. However, Chris Broussard isn’t one of them and he believes that the Philadelphia Eagles are a legitimate contender this season.

Talking about it, Chris Broussard said, “I do still think they’re a legitimate contender in the NFC. They’re not hitting the favorite right now. Maybe. But I know you probably got Tampa and San Francisco ahead of them. I think Philly can play with them. So I’m still giving them a shot.”

Jalen Hurts is still an MVP candidate, so far he has a passer rating of 106.4 with 2,217 yards, 14 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in 9 games this season. The Eagles will hope to bounce back from the loss to the Commanders quickly. They are still a contender this season and they are loading up their team for a Super Bowl run.
