Baker Mayfield was signed by the Los Angeles Rams after he was released by the Carolina Panthers. He made his debut in the game against the Las Vegas Raiders, and after having such little time to learn the playbook, Mayfield did a great job.
He led the Rams to a huge comeback win over the Raiders which featured two clutch touchdown drives in the fourth quarter itself. Baker Mayfield showed the world that he is still a good quarterback, and with the right players around him, he can make game-winning plays.
With this loss, the chances of the Las Vegas Raiders making it to the playoffs have decreased massively and they will be gutted to lose this game, having led by 16-3 at one point.
As for Baker Mayfield, he now needs to play good football consistently, and he can bag himself a pretty decent contract in the upcoming free agency. This is a great opportunity for him to redeem his NFL career, and Rams head coach Sean McVay is the right man to help him in this course.
