Joe Burrow opened up on what he thinks about the debate between Grass fields and Turf fields in the NFL.
There has been an ongoing debate in the NFL about grass fields vs turf fields as day by day more and more players are getting hurt playing on the turf fields. Players are getting hurt without any contact and that has been a major concern for everyone.
Recently, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow gave his views on the whole controversy. Joe Burrow didn’t take a side of any field but he highlighted his experience of playing on both types of fields.
Talking about it, Joe Burrow said, “I wouldn’t say I have a strong opinion on it. I definitely think that a very well-kept Grassfield is the best, just as far as landing on it on your joints. It’s softer, it’s more, more giving. And then if you take care of it well, it’s still fast like turf.”
He added, “But I also think that the turf fields are harder, tougher on the joints. I’m not sure the science or any of the studies that come out about injuries versus grass and turf. I haven’t looked into any of that. But I would say grass, the best grass fields, or I would say the best playing surface.”
Joe Burrow is now in his third year in the league and has transformed himself into one of the best quarterbacks in the game. He suffered an ACL injury in his rookie season, and he knows a lot about players dealing with injuries. Hopefully, everyone will come to a mutual agreement regarding the fields in the NFL.
