All you need to know about whether Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow played for Ohio State or not.
Joe Burrow was considered a 4-star prospect for the class of 2015 and ultimately decided to sign with Ohio State. He spent a total of three seasons with the Ohio State Buckeyes, redshirting during his first year with the team. During the subsequent two years, Burrow was involved in only sporadic actions.
He had high hopes of winning the starting job heading into the 2018 season, but it ended up going to former first-round choice Dwayne Haskins instead. Haskins got the job after Burrow suffered an injury in the spring and decided to transfer in order to improve his chances of playing.
Burrow was able to graduate transfer and eventually found a home at LSU after completing his degree in a record-setting three years. After winning the Heisman Trophy and the national title with LSU in the past, Burrow is now considered a legend in college football.
After that, the Cincinnati Bengals selected him with the first overall pick in the draft, and the rest, as they say, is history. After suffering an injury that prevented him from playing for the bulk of his rookie season, Burrow led the Bengals to the Super Bowl in his second season, but they were eliminated in the AFC Championship Game in his third season. The future for Cincinnati is positive, and Joe Burrow is quite likely to receive a significant contract extension in the very near future.
