The Dallas Cowboys are expected to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wildcard Game this season.
The Dallas Cowboys have played quite well this season and are deemed a Super Bowl contender. They have a great record but are still in the second position in the NFC East due to the brilliance of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Many believe the Cowboys will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wildcard round, and that could prove to be a very tricky game for them. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers have been able to get better of the Cowboys on multiple occasions, and Emmanuel Acho believes it won’t be a surprise if the Bucs defeat the Cowboys again.
Talking about the Dallas Cowboys, Acho said, “You’ve seen it before with the Cowboys. The Bucs might be in are better coached. The Bucs have the better quarterback and the Bucs don’t make mistakes. I always go back to the Cowboys’ loss in the playoffs particularly they lost their chance of winning because Dak Prescott made a one-second mistake.”
He added, “That’s all it was. He slid one second too late as opposed to one second too early. All it takes in a game is one second one step one play usually Tom Brady comes out on the right side of those things.”
The Dallas Cowboys still have a shot at winning the division but it will be very tough as the Eagles are projected to run away with it. As a result, a potential tough wildcard round matchup with the Buccaneers is very likely.
The Dallas Cowboys have heavily recruited Odell Beckham Jr. as they want to bring the wide receiver to help them win a Super Bowl. However, his fitness has concerned many, and Dominique Foxworth believes the Cowboys should not go for OBJ.
He said, “Odell Beckham, as great as he is, on a leg and a half, he’s not gonna be good. Some like us have to understand that having those high expectations and ACL I tore my ACL most ACLs take a year or a little bit more to come back from a lot of players have changed that perspective.”
He added, “But it’s not true for everybody, particularly when you have multiple, it’s reasonable to suggest that Odell Beckham won’t be back to true form in ever until next season…”
If the Cowboys don’t sign OBJ, other teams like the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, and the Kansas City Chiefs would love to have him, as the former Rams receiver is an impact player. The Dallas Cowboys still have a dynamic offense, and if they decide to back out from signing OBJ, it would be understandable as owner Jerry Jones is not known for taking such risks.
The biggest regular season game of the season will be played on Christmas EVE this season. The Dallas Cowboys will go head-to-toe against the Philadelphia Eagles, and the winner of that game is guaranteed to win the NFC East.
It will be a high-pressure game and usually, in those types of games, the Cowboys do tend to choke. As a result, it will be very fascinating to see how they will play against a strong Eagles team.
Jalen Hurts is an MVP candidate this season, and if he continues to play like he has done so far this season, he has a great chance of racking up the award in just his third season in the league.
