Aaron Rodgers is ready for life without Davante Adams, as he recently heaped praise on rookie WR Christian Watson.
There were serious doubts about the Green Bay Packers following the exit of Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. It felt like Aaron Rodgers will be without a good WR in the upcoming season.
However, now it seems like Aaron Rodgers has got his man to rely on for the future. It’s none other than the highly touted rookie WR of the Packers, Christian Watson.
Watson has big shoes to fill for Davante Adams, but the Packers quarterback has his trust in him to excel in the league. Recently, Aaron Rodgers during his appearance on the Pat McAfee show heaped praise on his new rookie WR.
Talking about Watson, Aaron Rodgers said, “I might have to change Dave Bakhtiari’s nickname, because this kid might be the new baby giraffe, or more like a deer because he’s just prancing and flying around on the field,”
He added, “This dude’s got incredible stride length. And really, for a man who is 6-foot-5, his speed is legit. It was nice having him. He’s a different type of receiver than we’ve had. A guy that big with that type of stride length with that speed.
Hopefully, Christian Watson will fulfill the trust of the reigning NFL MVP. The Green Bay Packers will kickstart their new NFL season against division rivals the Minnesota Vikings.
