Denver Broncos recently parted ways with running back Melvin Gordon and he was released by the team. However, just a few days after getting cut by the Broncos, the running back is set to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs are already the top seed in the AFC and getting a weapon as Melvin Gordon shows their aspirations of another Super Bowl run. Melvin Gordon hasn’t played the way he used to play earlier but Andy Reid can get the best out of him.

As per Tom Pelissero: Two-time Pro Bowl RB Melvin Gordon is expected to sign with the #Chiefs practice squad, per source. Released by Denver last week, Gordon should be active soon. Another weapon for the stretch run.

The Chiefs already have a pretty good running game with rookie Isiah Pacheco emerging as a star and the addition of a veteran running back like Melvin Gordon can help them a lot. He has played 8 seasons in the NFL and has 1,567 carries for 6,462 yards, 309 catches for 2,467 yards, and has scored 69 touchdowns.
