Trey Lance will be taking over as the starting quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers in the upcoming season.
A few weeks ago it was announced that Trey Lance will be the new starting quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers. He will be taking the place of Jimmy Garoppolo, as the latter is set to leave the 49ers.
Lance doesn’t have much experience under his belt, due to which people have doubts about him. One of them is Colin Cowherd, who has serious doubts over the new 49ers QB.
Talking about Trey Lance, Colin Cowherd said, “The Niners Have a Super Bowl Roster and a Super Bowl Head Coach. I Do Not Believe They Have an Accurate Enough Distributor of the Football, by the Way in His Two Starts Last Year He Completed 59 of His Throws I Was Told Six Weeks Ago That the Niners Contacted Somebody Outside of the Building a Quarterback Consultant.”
He added, “They Were Still Concerned So Since His Final Year in College 2020 Trey Lance Has Completed 101 My Bad He Has 101 Pass Attempts in Two Years He’s Got a 101 Pass Attempts in Real Games. So, He Is Raw He Has Not Played a Lot. I Looked at the Niners Schedule This Morning in Over Half of Their Games They’re Not Shutting Teams Down They’ll Probably Be in Shootouts.”
Even though Lance hasn’t played much since his school days, he is a very talented player. The 49ers have full faith in him, due to which it is likely that he will have a great season.
