Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are yet to reach common ground in their contract negotiations and that is a concern.

In the process of negotiating a new contract for Lamar Jackson to continue playing as the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, the two sides have not yet come to an agreement on a middle ground. As a consequence of this, many people have the opinion that the quarterback should not play even a single snap for the Ravens until the issue with his contract is settled.

Since the Ravens picked him, Jackson has been nothing short of spectacular for the team, and he has become the public face of the organization. The possibility of the franchise suffering a significant setback as a result of his departure is present, but there is still time for negotiations on a new contract with him. Emmanuel Acho, who played linebacker for the Eagles in the past, is another person who thinks Jackson shouldn’t play for the Ravens until he gets a new contract.

Speaking about it, Acho said, “I don’t think he should play again. I don’t often know if players missing 12 days of practice, like That’s a rarity in the NFL… So if you miss 12 days of practice, I just haven’t heard of it in my NFL experience my four years I haven’t seen it happen So if you come in back for what I think about Robert Griffin,”

He added, “Robert Griffin messed up his LCL on December 9 of 2012. And by January 6 of 2013 and the playoff game, he blew out his knee. Robert Griffin never got that big second contract. I don’t want Lamar Jackson who doesn’t have his guaranteed bread yet, I don’t want him going out there. If he’s not able to be the same Lamar Jackson, we know he’s capable of being.”

Jackson has now been out for over a month and his injuries have always been a big concern for the Ravens. The franchise is hopeful that their quarterback will be able to play in the playoffs, and if Jackson plays well, he might get a new deal locked up soon.

Why hasn’t Lamar Jackson played for a month for the Ravens?

Since suffering a knee injury more than a month ago, Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, has been sidelined and unable to participate in games. Jackson has not participated in any games for the Ravens (10-6) since he sustained an injury to his left knee on December 4. The Ravens have already locked up a postseason berth for themselves. Jackson has also been absent from the team for the last 16 consecutive practices.

The Baltimore Ravens have had a lot of trouble since Lamar Jackson went down with an injury. In the four games that they have played without Jackson, they have scored a league-worst total of three touchdowns and have averaged just 12.3 points per game.

The Ravens have not disclosed any concrete plans about Jackson’s potential comeback at any point in time. At this moment, Jackson is not the only quarterback for Baltimore to be dealing with an injury. For the second day in a row, Tyler Huntley was unable to fully participate in practice due to injuries affecting his right shoulder and wrist. This year, when Jackson was out injured, Huntley stepped in for him and posted a record of 2-2 in those games.

The Baltimore Ravens’ opponent in the AFC Wildcard Round is most likely going to be the Cincinnati Bengals. This seems to be a reasonable expectation. We can only hope that Jackson will be able to return to action before that time.
