Nick Wright was in the firm belief that Baker Mayfield can excel for the Los Angeles Rams under Sean McVay.
After being cut by the Carolina Panthers, quarterback Baker Mayfield was picked up by the Los Angeles Rams and given a new contract. Mayfield performed an outstanding job despite having such little time to prepare since he made his debut in the game against the Las Vegas Raiders, and despite the fact that he had to learn the playbook from scratch.
It was because of his leadership that the Rams were able to pull off a monumental comeback victory over the Raiders, which included two game-winning touchdown drives in the fourth quarter itself. Baker Mayfield has demonstrated to the entire world that he is still a capable quarterback and that, when provided with the appropriate support from his teammates, he is capable of making plays that win games.
Nick Wright had already predicted that Mayfield could excel with the Rams because of Sean McVay. Speaking about it, Nick Wright had said, “I think the question is, Can Sean McVay do for Baker Mayfield what he did for Goff? Maybe? I think that’s the Listen, Baker short Golf has tiny hands. They’re both number-one picks. They both have no, they both have physical. That was the difference.”
He added, “If Baker gets on the field, I think this is a great opportunity for him. So this is a brilliant business by the Rams. I think it’s super sharp that they signed them even though their seasons done. And if anyone’s gonna get anything out of Baker, I would hope maybe McVay could get a little something out.”
Baker Mayfield will hope to continue playing like this in the coming games as well, and it might help him to secure a great contract in the upcoming free agency.
