Recently Tyreek Hill directed some bold comments toward his former team which was not accepted well by the Chiefs fans. He appeared in a podcast and was seen throwing a slight shade towards the Chiefs following his move to the Dolphins.

Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs claimed that he was left a little surprised by Hill’s comments. Tyreek and Mahomes are very good friends, and certainly, it came as a shock for the latter.

Mahomes said, “I’m surprised a little just because I feel like we love Tyreek here. We’ve always loved him. We still love him. I saw him out at Formula One in Miami. I’m sure it had something to do with trying to get his podcast some stuff and get it rolling.”

He added, “I still love Tyreek. He’s a one-of-a-kind player. In coach [Andy] Reid’s offense it takes the whole team. This offense was rolling before I got here. This offense was rolling when I was a young Cowboys fan watching the Eagles [coached by Reid] beat up on the Cowboys. It’s an offense that’s more than one player, and that includes myself.”

Patrick Mahomes says he hasn’t spoken to Tyreek Hill since the podcast dropped

In the light of Hill’s comments directed toward him and his team, Mahomes said that he hasn’t spoken to Tyreek Hill since the podcast dropped. Even though they are good friends, these comments by Hill can certainly have an impact on their relationship.

Mahomes said, “I talked to him at Formula One in Miami in May, and everything seemed fine. It’s something I’m sure that he’s trying to show he loves where he’s at in Miami and he loves his teammates. The thing I loved about Tyreek and I still love is that he wants to win.”

Mahomes responded to Hill’s comments about utilizing him less on the offense

During his podcast, Tyreek Hill revealed that the Chiefs weren’t giving him many opportunities to make an impact on the game. Surprisingly, Tyreek had the most receptions on the team, but he still wasn’t content with it.

Mahomes responded to these claims by his former WR and said, “I feel like the coverages we were getting [from] defenses were really accounting for him, so we had to go other places [with the ball]. When he’s a competitor like that, you want to have a chance to impact the games.”

He added, “I know he wanted to get the ball as much as possible to help us win. It wasn’t a selfish thing. We were winning football games, especially at the end of the season, so I don’t think he really brought that to our attention.”

Tyreek Hill also made claims about his new quarterback Tua being more accurate than Patrick Mahomes. This statement came as an absurd one by Hill, as everyone knows who the better quarterback is.

Mahomes also responded to this statement by Hill and said, “It doesn’t get to me at all. As long as we’re winning football games and we’re putting up points, I think I’m doing my job the right way. It doesn’t have to be the best accuracy or the best completion percentage in the world. As long as we’re scoring touchdowns and winning Super Bowls, I’ll take it.”

All eyes will be on Tyreek Hill next season. Everyone is very eager to see how he will perform without Mahomes. He has talked so much during the offseason, and as a result, all the pressure is on him and his new quarterback Tua to show the world that they can be a good duo.
