Not every player on the Cleveland Browns backed away from Baker Mayfield, as he had the trust of this star player of the team.
Baker Mayfield who was the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns had been under the pressure throughout the last season due to his bad performances. He had also lost the trust of some of his teammates as well due to the whole Odell Beckham Jr. drama which happened during the season.
His exit from the team was a very likely scenario, and it eventually happened after the Browns acquire Deshaun Watson via trade. However, one of Mayfield’s teammates still had trust in him following the end of last season. I
It was none other than Miles Garrett. Garrett is one of the best players on the Browns team and has become a leader on the defensive end of the field. Speaking about Mayfield, Garrett had said, “I mean, he’s my quarterback. He’s my guy. He stuck by us, I’mma stick by him,”
Now Baker Mayfield is off to Carolina, and the Browns have Deshaun Watson. It will be a new start for both parties, and hopefully, both parties will be able to achieve success.
