Colin Cowherd isn’t happy with the Chicago Bears as they have continued to disappoint in the offseason and failed to help Justin Fields.
The Chicago Bears haven’t improved their roster at all after a disappointing campaign last year. This has brought a lot of criticism over the franchise, as their young quarterback Justin Fields is heading into his 2nd year in the NFL.
This was a great opportunity for the Bears to surround Fields with talent, as he could have shown whether he is the perfect fit for this team or not. Due to the lack of talent around him, Fields will be in a tough situation once again, and that is going to take a hit on his performance in what will be a big season for the franchise.
Famous Sports Analyst Colin Cowherd is also upset with the Bears franchise and thinks that the franchise has set up Justin Fields for failure in the upcoming season of the NFL.
Talking about it, Cowherd said, “It Is a Bad Football Team and I Would Say This umm, Atlanta and Seattle Are Going to Be Bad but They Have a Plan It’s a Tank Year It Really Is Chicago Is Going to Be Bad and This Is a Promising Year in a Week Division.”
Colin Cowherd lauded the NY Jets for creating a good team around Zach Wilson unlike what the Bears did for Justin Fields
Colin Cowherd continued his rant on the Chicago Bears and took the example of the New York Jets who have built a good team around their young quarterback Zach Wilson. He told how the Bears have failed Fields, while other teams are building their teams to help their young quarterbacks.
Colin Cowherd said, “They Have One Legitimate Receiver Moody That’s It So the J I Have Real Concerns About Zach Wilson the Jets Quarterback and Justin Fields the Bears Quarterback the Difference Is if You Look at How the Jets Have Built With Joe Douglas the Last Two Drafts They’ve Done It Right”
He added, “Now I Don’t Know if Saul Is the Right Coach but in the Last Two Drafts for Young Zack Wilson They’ve Gotten Him Garrett Wilson He May Have Been the Best Receiver in College Uh Breece Hall Who I Think Is Going to Be a Really Good Running Back.”
Colin further said, “Elijah Vera Tucker is a Pro Bowl Level Uh Offensive Lineman Eventually, in My Opinion, Uh Elijah Moore Clever Wide Receiver and Michael Carter Are Running Back in the Fourth Round Who Was a Bit of a Steal So They’re Getting Him Pieces and They’re Getting in Production Now.”
It is clear that the teams like Jaguars, 49ers, and Jets are working towards helping their young quarterbacks excel in their sophomore year in the league. On the other hand, the Bears have some big questions to answer if this season also ends in disappointment for them.
Chicago Bears front office will be under pressure in the upcoming season
Due to the failure of getting any good additions in the offseason, the front office of the Bears will be under immense pressure in the upcoming season.
Colin Cowherd further talked about the Bears and said, “The Bears Holding On to Roquan Smith So You’re Asking a Young Quarterback With an Unproven Defensive Coach and One Legitimate Receiver in a Division That’s Got You Know a Top Five Organization Green Bay and a Super Talented Offensive Team Minnesota That’s Gonna Score a Bunch of Points for the New Offensive Coach I Feel Like the Bears Operate Like It’s a 1958 Franchise…”
Justin Fields has looked quite good in the preseason so far, and that has brought a glimmer of hope for the Bears’ fans. However, if the Bears end up with a bad record, the front office will be at fault, not their young quarterback.
