Kansas City Chiefs are a Super Bowl contender once again and Nick Wright believes they can create a dynasty.
The Kansas City Chiefs have been arguably the best team in the NFL this season. Despite losing Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins prior to the season, their offense has remained electric and they are dominating everyone.
Currently, the Chiefs have a record of 9-2 and are primed to make their third Super Bowl appearance in four seasons. It will also be the fifth straight season that Patrick Mahomes will have the opportunity to take them to the AFC Championship Game.
Talking about it, Nick Wright said, “It is dynasty on deck, and let me explain myself here. When Kansas City wins this Super Bowl, as Kevin Wilde said will be a mastered sport if they don’t true. They wouldn’t be five for five and Mahomes his career and make the AFC title game three for five to make the Superbowl two for five to win.”
He added, “It would be the greatest start to a career in NFL history with the possible exception of Tom Brady’s but I would argue with you about that but more importantly every other team in the AFC is we going in the wrong direction, Baltimore the Chargers, Miami and Cincinnati.”
The Chiefs are the 1st seed in the AFC after Week 12 and there is a strong possibility that they will remain the top seed in the AFC by the end of the regular season. Once again, they will have a home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.
Nick Wright believes the Kansas City Chiefs have an advantage over other AFC teams
Nick Wright further spoke about how the Chiefs are in the best possible situation in the entire AFC and how other teams will get weaker in the coming years due to the salary cap.
Talking about the issues with the teams mentioned above, Nick Wright said, “They all have to pay their quarterback so they have to pare down the roster Las Vegas in Denver and Cleveland to in the same division traded away future draft picks to try to get in the city this year.”
He added, “That bill comes due and buffalo is in one of the worst cap situations in football next year the Chiefs meanwhile, extra picks, extra cap space, and another Super Bowl you know what that sounds like? Quite dynastic.”
The Chiefs have already paid Patrick Mahomes big-time money and due to it, they are unlikely to face salary cap issues in the future. Moreover, by trading away Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs were able to get draft compensation and have continued to improve their defense.
Patrick Mahomes is an MVP candidate this season and is expected to win it if he continues to play like he has done so far this season. This would be the second MVP award of Mahome’s career and he is already on the trajectory to surpass many all-time greats in the coming years.
Whether or not the Chiefs will be able to build a dynasty like the New England Patriots remains to be seen but this team is quite special. As long as they have Patrick Mahomes, they will be a Super Bowl contender every season.
