The Jacksonville Jaguars are ready for a new start under the new head coach Doug Pederson who knows it will be a tough job.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will have Doug Pederson as their head coach for the upcoming season. The struggling franchise is hoping that he will be the person who can turn things around. They didn’t do enough to help their quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, who was the first overall pick of the draft last year.
Trevor’s first year in the NFL didn’t go as well as he had hoped because he joined a struggling team. Because of their coach, Urban Meyer, the team was always in the news, and it was always for bad reasons. In the end, the Jaguars fired Meyer.
Doug Pederson knows he is stepping into a tough situation. Talking about it, Pederson said, “It’s not an overnight fix. It’s going to be a fix that we’ve got to do one player at a time, one coach at a time, and get it turned around.”
Doug Pederson knows that he has a great young quarterback on his team. Due to it, he will be more excited to lead this team toward success.
Speaking about Trevor Lawrence, Pederson said, “I see talent, honestly, Is it perfect? No. You see flashes. You see the offense taking strides throughout the course of the year. You see the defense making those strides. Now, it’s about, ‘We’ve got to be consistent every week.’ There has to be consistency. There has to be ownership with that.”
Hopefully, the Jaguars will be able to turn their fortunes in the upcoming season. Trevor Lawrence would want to have a big sophomore season in the NFL.
