Kansas City Chiefs will be facing the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2, and Nick Wright talked about his expectation with the game.
In week 2 of the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers will meet. This will be a matchup between two of the best teams in the NFL who are part of the same division.
The Chiefs are coming off a dominant Week 1 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Patrick Mahomes, despite the loss of Tyreek Hill, had a sensational start to the season and appeared to be the best player in the league.
In relation, the Los Angeles Chargers opened their season with a victory over their division rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders. They would like to demonstrate to the Chiefs that they’ve also vastly improved during the offseason.
Talking about the fixture, Nick Wright who is a lifelong Chiefs fan didn’t sound very much confident about his team playing this game. He knows that the Chargers have a very good team, and it won’t be an easy game for them.
Nick Wright said, “Just escape with a win. This is the second hardest game on their whole schedule, the only game harder than right the only game harder than this on their entire schedule is when they go to the Chargers.”
“The Chargers have built their team with one goal in mind…”- Nick Wright on the tough fixture for the Kansas City Chiefs
Nick Wright further discussed the factors that make him believe that this fixture won’t be an easy one for his beloved Kansas City Chiefs.
He said, “The Chargers have built their team with one goal in mind how do you slow down Kansas City, and they are the only team in the league that has had actually some type of repeated success doing that.”
Wright added, “Mahomes is five and two against the Chargers and one of the wins came in overtime. The only way to slow down the Chiefs consistently is can you get real pressure on the homes without sending extra people.”
Nick Wright concluded, “Well, Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack are a good start and I know the whole media likes to kill Staley for the fourth down stuff but you agree with me that coaches more often should do the what is my opponent that’s right hope I do I’m going to do the opposite I hate playing a team that’s going to constantly go for it on fourth down because it feels like the drive’s never over…”
Without a doubt, this matchup will be one of the toughest of the season for the Chiefs. This is a game where Patrick Mahomes can shut all his critics up, as he has the opportunity to defeat a team that has all the tools to win the Super Bowl.
Moreover, this is a game against a division rival, and the stakes will be at an all-time high for both the teams playing on Thursday. hopefully, we’ll be able to get a good game between these two great teams.
