Patrick Mahomes is quite impressed by the performances of his rookie running back Isiah Pacheco in recent weeks.
Patrick Mahomes is the frontrunner to win the MVP award this season and the Kansas City Chiefs are a Super Bowl contender this season. Both Mahomes and the Chiefs have been greatly helped by rookie running back Isiah Pacheco.
Pacheco was a late draft pick and he has balled out for the Chiefs. He is improving every week and easing the load on Mahomes. He has 97 carries for 455 yards and has scored 2 touchdowns in 11 games this season.
Speaking about Pacheco, Patrick Mahomes said, “He’s got the right attitude. He’s gonna continue to rise and get those extra yards, which are big. And he’s gonna continue to push and push to get better and be better.”
He added, “So, in this league, you want those young backs to continue to just push to get better find ways to be more patient find ways to hit the hole harder. And he’s done a great job of that. And that running back room was big for us today. Man has been big for us the last few weeks here.”
The Kansas City Chiefs are the 1st seed in the AFC and with the emergence of Isiah Pacheco, they have also signed Melvin Gordon. This team is going to be explosive come playoff time and can win another Super Bowl.
