Miami Dolphins have just gone onto drop their third consecutive team. After looking like a team which could bring down the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year, the Dolphins have been left wondering in unique ways. Without their marquee Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa – it just seems like the team is having no clue on how to close down games or to catch up to their opponents in the deeper stages.
To those who missed the action on Sunday – Miami Dolphins’ backup QB – Teddy Bridgewater stepped in for injured rookie Skylar Thompson as the team once again were forced to replace Quarterbacks due to injury. With the chance to win the game again falling in their disposal, the Dolphins came up short once again, sending them to 3-3 tally.
Talking about the particular play – Jaylen Waddle caught a pass right outside the red zone with the Miami Dolphins trailing by six points at that time (16-10) with almost four minutes remaining. But safety Harrison Smith stripped the ball from the Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver as he tried to pick up additional yards, and safety Camryn Bynum made the recovery.
After which, couple of plays later, the spotlight fell upon running back Dalvin Cook broke loose for a 53-yard TouchDown with just over 3 minutes remaining in the game. Which ensured that the Miami Dolphins lost their 3rd consecutive game with an eventual 24-16 defeat on Sunday.
Miami Dolphins forced to change Quarterbacks vs Minnesota Vikings
As the Miami Dolphins would now be itching to get above .500 in a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the coming Sunday, it seems like they would have their starting Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at their disposal. To bring everyone on the same page he was cleared of the NFL’s concussion protocol Saturday morning but held out due to limited practice reps. This game will be a celebration of the franchise’s undefeated 1972 team and a reunion with former head coach Brian Flores.
With the occasion being special as ever, Tua Tagovailoa will be hoping and would rather be expected to inspire his Miami Dolphins to a winning result. Especially after they have dropped 3 back-to-back games, this team have dropped to 3rd in the AFC East.
