When Aaron Rodgers decided to blame his teammates for making too many errors, the NFL World did not take it lightly. Especially not Hall of Famer ruined analyst Shannon Sharpe who blasted the reigning MVP as a ‘poor leader,’ who was also the reason for the departure of marquee Davante Adams.
While Aaron Rodgers was not confronted by any of his fellow teammates just yet, following his harsh comment, Sharpe is not willing to believe that. Skip Bayless’ co-host blasted the veteran Quarterback and to make matters worse – even questioned his leadership skills.
On the latest episode on Undisputed, “They didn’t confront you? Well, you didn’t confront them either, you spouted it out to the media instead of going up to them and talking. Now I see why Davante Adams left. Turned down more money not to come back with you (Aaron Rodgers). You’re a terrible leader, you’re not a good leader.”
Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay Packers have been struggling offensively. With Davante Adams already making way to the Las Vegas Raiders in the off season, the team just doesn’t have the experience to bounce back after a poor quarter.
Sharpe concluded by stating, “Just because you’re a great player does not make you a great team-mate. When you’re playing good, you can yell and scream and call people out. But when you’re not playing well, people look at you sideways.”
That being said, with a record of 3-4 so far after the first 7 weeks of the 2022-23 regular season, they are all set to face the mighty Buffalo Bills in their next encounter. Will Rodgers’ comments boost the morale of his team? Or hamper their confidence even more? Who can say for sure.
