When Las Vegas Raiders acquired Davante Adams, the team had huge hoops of witnessing Derek Carr combining their explicit wide receiver. Having had a slow start, it seems like the former Green Bay Packer is adjusting to life in the Raiders’ o-line.
The latest to justify this claim was Davante Adams’ performance against the Denver Broncos. After taking the center stage in the first half, the entire focus of the Broncos’ defense was on the marquee Raiders star, keeping him away from replicating the same production rate.
Adams finished the day with 141 receiving yards on 7 catches, only one of those catches came in the second half. But it was his overtime heroics which saw the Raiders edge past Broncos, to ensure a much-required win for his team.

As mentioned, with the game heading to OT, Derek Carr knew just which player he needs to find to secure a W. A 35-yard TouchDown pass to Davante Adams sealed the game, 22-16. However, Adams wasn’t the MOM for the Raiders, despite his game-winning heroics?
Maxx Crosby sacked Russell Wilson two times in Week 4. He followed the same dominance over the Denver Broncos’ QB in Denver. The edge rusher did a little bit of everything for the defense with 6 sacks, two tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble.
That being said, Derek Carr was a perfect five-for-five throwing to Davante Adams in the first half for 94 yards and a TouchDown. He had been throwing Adams’s way plenty in the second half, but the passes were often off-target. Until he finally found in OT, perhaps in the most clutch moment.
