Arizona Cardinals haven’t been one of the best performing teams in the 2022-23 season. However, their #1 Quarterback Kyler Murray, who too has just been above average in the current season, has tried to the best of his abilities to secure hard-fought wins for his team.
In Week 14, the Cardinals locked horns against the New England Patriots, who are inches away from making it into the playoffs. In the very first quarter Kyler Murray thumped on the floor via a non-contact injury. In a scary looking fall, players form both sides came to give their condolences to him as things pretty bad for him.
Despite the impact, Arizona Cardinals gave hope to the fans by listing Murray as questionable, potentially could come to make a difference in the game. But after further evaluation, it was reported that he sustained a knee injury in the same incident.
Bill Belichick’s heartfelt message to Kyler Murray
For those who are not aware – Pro Bowl Quarterback Kyler Murray reportedly suffered a torn ACL on the above-mentioned play. After which Patriots coach Bill Belichick came forward to deliver a heartfelt message to the injured star after his 27-13 win.
“It’s tough to see a player like Murray get hurt. I hope he’s OK,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said in part of his opening statement. Moreover, Patriots star linebacker Matthew Judon is hoping Murray somehow avoided a major injury despite the early reports.
“You never want to see that,” Judon said. “You never want to see that, especially a non-contact. I’m just praying for him. I was walking around the field in pregame, just trying to bless the field and say a prayer. You just never want to see a guy like that go down, especially a talent like that in the NFL. So, I just wish him a speedy recovery. I hope everything’s fine and he just kind of tweaked it and he’ll be back on the field sooner rather than later.”
