Buffalo Bills might have to witness another string of games without their star pass-rusher Von Miller, who won’t be a part of the team’s plans for the next four at least. The former LA Rams player was placed on IR Thursday, yet there a growing optimism that he will feature for the Bills before the end of the regular season.
The Buffalo Bills, who are 8-3, 2nd seed in the AFC East. Even General Manager Brandon Beane made it crystal clear that they do not want to rush things with their marquee player and are fine with him returning by Week 17., as per Ian Rapoport.
“We’ve been assessing Von Miller this week and seeing how he is. We don’t want to rush him back. This gives us a chance to go ahead & count tonight’s game and three more on injured reserve. And hopefully we can get him back for the stretch run.”
To those who are not aware, Miller suffered a meniscus tear in Week 12. But thankfully, for him and the Bills he escaped an ACL injury which surely would have ruled him out for the remainder of the 2022-23 season. Having predicted a return around Week 14, Miller will be requiring to be away from game-action for even longer.
“The Bills are placing Von Miller on injured reserve. He will miss at least the next four games. The team’s hope is that he will be able to return this season.”
That being said, the Bills will now lock horns against the Patriots, with the hopes of clinching the top berth in their division anyhow.
