Baker Mayfield and Sean McVay were over the moon after Los Angeles Rams came back from behind to win against the Las Vegas Raiders. Ending their 6-game losing streak, there was one man who grabbed all the headline, especially with the circumstances with which he joined the reigning Super Bowl Champs.
Given that Mayfield is on the verge of joining a different team, next season and the Rams will stick to Matthew Stafford, who is currently sidelined due to injury – Rams stuck with him and the result is for everyone to see now. Moreover, sports media analyst Skip Bayless went further ahead of suggest that the combination of this QB and Coach can be a match made in heaven.
Skip Bayless wrote in his tweet, “As I said on Undisputed, I love this fit for Baker because he and McVay are birds of a feather. Both have some Hollywood in them. Both have some cocky frontrunner in them. McVay will be the 1st coach since Lincoln Riley to make Baker feel like the HC loves & believes in him.”
What’s next for Baker Mayfield?
He finished the game on Thursday Night, against Las Vegas Raiders with 230 passing yards and a TouchDown with zero interceptions on 22 of 35 completions.
Talking more precisely about Baker Mayfield’s performance – he was sacked four times for a loss of 19 yards, but those can all be given a pass, considering that he’s still very new to the team. That being said, anyhow this charismatic QB got his new team over the line.
This performance is surely going to get him out on the field in the next game as a starter. Will we see him magic at Lambeau Field with similar drama? Remains to be seen.
