Ceedee Lamb will be the new WR1 for the Dallas Cowboys following the departure of Amari Cooper, and he is ready to embrace the challenge.
The Dallas Cowboys traded Amari Cooper earlier in the offseason. This came as a shocking move to many, as Amari was the WR1 for this Cowboys team.
Amari leaving the team left a big void to fill for the Cowboys for the upcoming season. However, Ceedee Lamb has been given the keys to being the WR1 for the Cowboys. He is an exceptionally talented player, and he had a great season last year.
Ceedee himself is ready to embrace the challenge of being the main man for his team on the offensive end. Talking about his new role, he said, “Most importantly just stepping up regardless of any situation, first down, second down, just always being that guy that everybody can count on, and by everyone I mean everyone in this locker room.”
Lamb added, “I want to be accounted for. I want to be that guy. That’s just me and my competitiveness, my competitive nature. It’s kind of how I grew up playing football. I’m always [ready] for my name to be called.”
Dak Prescott, the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys is ready to pair up with Ceedee Lamb. Moreover, he sees a long-term future with him. Dak has even requested the Cowboys to bring Ceedee’s locker beside him in the dressing room.
Dak said, “My 2 other locker mates left, so I was a little lonely. With him being young, hopefully, he’s my WR until I’m done playing. Just bring him closer, more conversations, he’s right there to talk and communicate.”
It will be a new experience for both of them in the upcoming season. The Cowboys fans would hope that this new duo works, or else we can see major changes around the franchise.
