The Kansas City Chiefs Offensive Coordinator Eric Bieniemy has been involved in talks for head coach positions for multiple teams but hasn’t found any success yet.
The offense of the Kansas City Chiefs has been one of the best in the league over the years. A large part of the credit goes to their Offensive Coordinator Eric Bieniemy. He along with Andy Reid has helped the Chiefs to terrorize their opponents.
Since he has got success in his role in KC, his name is always among the candidates for a potential Head coach position whenever an opening is there. However, he hasn’t found any success yet, and candidates with less experience and achievements have been taken instead of him.
Talking about it, Eric said, “In reality, it’s tough, But I don’t let that keep me from doing what I do. I’m still alive, I’m breathing, and I have an opportunity to work for a championship team. That’s the beauty of it.”
Bieniemy added, “I don’t want any pity. This is who I am. I’m going to keep pushing, keep knocking because when it’s all said and done with, I know who I am, and I am comfortable with the person I’m striving to be.”
Eric Bieniemy is determined to get a head coach position in the future
The Chiefs OC has claimed that he will continue to work hard. He knows that he will ultimately get a head coach position in the NFL, which he fairly deserves to get.
He said, “I’ve just got to go get it, I’m not seeking any comfort. I haven’t gotten it for whatever reason. It (doesn’t) matter. I’m going to keep knocking on that door, and I’m going to keep working my ass off to make sure that it happens.”
In the event that the Chiefs’ offense performs well once again without Tyreek Hill, Bieniemy is likely to be interviewed for a head coaching job next year. Moreover, things are improving in the NFL regarding black coaches. As a result, there is a high possibility that Eric will benefit from it.
