Jerry Jones has always been a surprise package. The most celebrated NFL owner is not verbal in appreciating his own player but seems to have developed a new strategy to lure weapons into his side. Recently, the Cowboys owner went onto appreciate Odell Beckham Jr, attempting to entice him to join forces with Dak Prescott.
Odell Beckham Jr., who suffered an ACL injury during the Super Bowl 56 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, has been side-lined since. With several teams like – Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, LA Rams all top teams in contention to acquire the experienced wide receiver, it seems like Dallas Cowboys are the newest to join the chase.
Speaking during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Tuesday, Jerry Jones publicly backed the current receivers but made a point to praise Odell Beckham ahead of his clutch decision. To those who are unaware about this WR has performed against Jerry Jones’ unit, in just eight games against the Cowboys as a New York Giant and Cleveland Brown, Beckham has 40 catches for 558 yards and 7 touchdowns.
“Odell is someone that we have all the appreciation in the world for what he is as a competitor,” the 80-year-old Cowboys owner – Jerry Jones said. “I know the Cowboys star on that helmet, when he puts it on, could look pretty good.”
Dallas Cowboys have splendidly kept themselves in the playoffs hunt, and now with Odell Beckham Jr. making his return on the football field, he can add to the Super Bowl aspirations of this team immensely.
Will Jones make a valid chase to add this superstar alongside the likes of Dak Prescott, going to be a very interesting story to witness unfolding.
