Tom Brady seemed to have retired from the NFL but he isn’t done with the sport yet

Tom Brady believes he still has something more to achieve and has confirmed he is returning for a 23rd season in the NFL.

There had been a lot of speculation regarding the future of Brady after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers failed to make the Super Bowl this year.

Brady then announced his retirement. However, the seven-time Super Bowl winner has changed his mind and posted an update on social media.

“These past two months I’ve realised my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG”

While Brady returning for the Bucs is a big deal, there were a lot of reactions from social media. UFC President Dana White was one of them as he commented on Brady’s Instagram post.

Can Tom Brady continue making history?

The 44-year-old already has several NFL records to his name, and he could get a few more if the 2022 season goes according to play.

He will be aiming for his eighth Super Bowl title this time around, and that could see him usurp Otto Graham. The pair are tied with the most championships in pro football history with seven each.

It will be interesting to see how this season goes for Brady. There will obviously be a lot of questions regarding his return, after his decision to retire.

Brady remains one of the biggest names in the history of pro football, and there will be additional attention on him when the 2022 season begins.
