New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones recently spoke up about his injury and expectations ahead of the upcoming NFL season.
Daniel Jones was drafted by the New York Giants in the 2019 NFL Draft and expectations were high for him to lead this team back to the glory days which should be normal for a team based in a big market like New York.
However, so far in his career he has not had a start that he would have been looking for prior to entering the league as the team has been under a bad coaching staff which has led to terrible play calling and bad results while the injury record of Daniel hasn’t been favorable either. Heading into his 4th season in the league, this will be a very big season for the quarterback from Duke, as he will look to elevate his game to the next level under a new coaching staff who could help him a lot.
Speaking ahead of the next season, Daniel Jones was asked about his neck injury which ruled him out of the latter part of the last season and he said, “No, I’m feeling good, and ready to go.”, which signifies that the quarterback is healthy and ready to make a big impact in the next season.
“Yeah, I’m excited” – Daniel Jones on the signing of backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor
Daniel Jones is already excited to work with the new quarterback on his team Tyrod Taylor who will be a backup to him and Jones thinks he can push him to elevate his game to the next level and show the world that he is an elite talent.
Jones said, “Yeah, I’m excited, He’s a guy with a lot of experience in this league, he’s played at a high level in this league for a long time, so I’m looking forward to learning from him and working with him.”
He added, “I talked with him when he signed, and here today, and so I’m looking forward to continuing to build that relationship, and I think that’ll be great for both of us, great for our offense, great for our team. So I’m looking forward to having him.”
Both the Giants and Daniel Jones will hope that this season the situation improves at the franchise and the quarterback will be eager to perform well under a new coaching staff as a new era kicks in New York.
