Deshaun Watson had been ruled out to participate in the 2022-23 season just yet after a woman filed a lawsuit against him for forcing to perform oral sex at a Houston hotel back in December 2020. However, there have been new revelations made in the story, which seems to bring huge relief for the 27-year-old Quarterback.
The current Cleveland Browns member’s camp dropped screenshots of chats between the accuser and Deshaun Watson, wherein fans could clearly spot the former being the one to chase to the NFL Quarterback. What’s even more interesting? That these messages were allegedly sent to the Browns’ player after the aforementioned hotel incident, which saw his getting suspended for the time being.
“The documents (the woman) provided reflect that for nearly a year after their massage session together, (the woman) sent more than 35 messages to Mr. Watson—none of which were answered by Mr. Watson,” Rusty Hardin, who leads Deshaun Watson’s legal team stated.
More than the suspension being handed over to Deshaun Watson, it seems like his legal teams wants to also remove the dirt thumped upon their client. On the same note Hardin led legal team went onto elaborate that the accuser has to legal basis upon what she is claiming upon the Browns star.
“This evidence undeniably establishes that while this may be a case of unrequited love, under no stretch of the imagination is this a case of assault,” Hardin added, as per Clutchpoints. “Had (the woman’s law firm) performed even the most cursory investigation, it would have confirmed that fact.”
That being said, according to the lawyer of Deshaun Watson, the accuser had already raised her claim to local police, but that she was rejected. Hardin concluded on the lines or revealing that the league is up to speed with regard to this case.
