Mike Evans might just go to crunch any of his opponent who dares to hurt Tom Brady and would even love to play alongside him. However, that wasn’t the case always. In a sensational revelation to Von Miller, on his talk show on Bleacher Report, The Von Cats, Evans made some big news.
Although he admitted to grew up not liking Tom Brady as Evans was a big Peyton Manning fan. So, he always considered Brady as a huge competitor of his idol. But to clarify between the media made a huge mockery out of it – Evans also revealed that he had no idea about football at that time.
Eventually when he started to know about the game, he realized just why Tom Brady is so appreciated. Moreover, after Brady joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Mike even got to witness how ‘down to earth’ the 7xSuper Bowl Champ is.
It’s hard to blame Mike Evans for not liking the resilient Tom Brady before, yet that is all in the past for now. At least the Bucs will be happy on how Evans always steps up to protect Brady. The same was evident, during the clash against New Orleans Saints.
On one hand where the Saints tried to attack Brady, Evans was in no mood to take any disrespect for his #1 QB. Safe to say, they have a good relationship today.
Moreover, Mike become one of Brady’s favorite targets since his arrival in 2020. This 2022 alone, the veteran wideout has already 49 receptions for 671 yards and three TouchDowns.
