While there are plenty of team owners who want their team to lift the prestigious silverware anyhow, Jerry Jones is one of the rarest. Having not tasted any success since the 1990s, Jones has been vocal for his team and his players throughout and his recent comments on Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush surely weren’t taken well by former NFL star, turned analyst – Ryan Clark.
While Jerry Jones did suggest how badly he wants his team to win in the 2022-23 season, his words weren’t the most encouraging. Jones wanted Cooper Rush to play well enough and to register wins, only so that once when Dak Prescott returns, there could be some headache on deciding the starting Quarterback for the team.
On the latest episode of Get Up – Clark went onto blast Jerry Jones, “It’s like the dude wakes up and says, ‘What’s the most outlandish thing I could say to f*ck up my team this morning.’ And then he picks something.”
There are no doubts that Jerry Jones likes making it to the papers, and into the headlines. But his way of making it has surely what is not liked by many. And the latest to add to that list of personnel is – Ryan Clark.
On the same note, Clark added, “He doesn’t like peace, Jerry Jones walks around like he wants a championship, but he doesn’t. He just wants to be talked about like he wants a championship.”
That being said, for Jerry Jones’ Cowboys – they have managed to edge past Bengals in Week 2. But with Cooper Rush looking to fill into the shoes of Dak Prescott, who is out for at least 6-8 weeks, there needs to be time given to the former Quarterback. Lastly, for the Cowboys to be in the contentions of the divisional glory – Micah Parsons needs to bring to A-Game to the table in every single showdown, for the Cowboys to have a chance of winning.
